The modern galenics of PMP peeling contain glycolic acid, lactic acid, TCA, panthenol, betaine, pyroglutamic acid, hexapeptide 19 and menthol. The menthol contained reduces itching, has an antiseptic, analgesic effect and gives a pleasant feeling of freshness. The effect of menthol on the TPR (capsaicin) receptor prevents the burning sensation of peeling.
The skin dryness, which is usually increased by peelings, is no longer a problem by adding moisturizing active ingredients.
The NMF (natural moisturising factor), consisting of urea, peptides, hydrophilic amino acids and pyroglutamic acid, optimizes the exfoliative effect of the PMP peeling and keeps the skin supple. The barrier function of the skin is not fundamentally disturbed by the PMP peeling.
