Alidya – for the treatment of cellulite
What is Cellulite Treatment?
Cellulite is a cosmetic blemish of which depending on the type of examination between 80 to 95 percent of all women from the 20. years are affected. It is distinguished from the so-called cellulite, an inflammatory disease of the subcutaneous fatty tissue, which is triggered by bacteria and mainly affects children in the facial area.
Cellulite, on the other hand, is a non-inflammatory change in subcutaneous adipose tissue, which manifests itself mainly in the thigh and buttocks area. The reason for this aesthetically disturbing development is the female anatomy of adipose tissue. The fat located in the subcutaneous tissue is divided in the female body by connective tissue strands that run perpendicular to the surface of the skin. This means that the adipose tissue is held together in the form of small columns that align outwards. The subcutaneous tissue with the embedded fat deposits is separated from the thin skin with its sebaceous glands and hair follicles only by a delicate connective tissue layer. The fat columns are therefore visible to the surface of the skin; their spaces appear as dimples.

What factors affect cellulite?
Although the phenomenon of cellulite is as widespread as hardly any other aesthetic flaw, there is little scientific data on its formation. However, at least the main influencing factors that can intensify cellulite are now known. First of all, these include the classic factors such as smoking, stress, unbalanced diet, pregnancies and prolonged intake of hormonal contraceptives. Obesity is not the cause of cellulite, even slim women have cellulite. However, there is a positive correlation with the diagnosed severity of cellulite and the quantity of adipose tissue.

How does Alidya work?
It is a worldwide patented solution for correcting changes in the surface profile due to cellulite or other causes. The product can cause a gradual, gradual reconstruction of the volume of subcutaneous fatty tissue.
The effect is due to a mixture of branched-chain and other amino acids combined with a system for alkalizing the extracellular matrix. The special osmolarity of Alidya is able to restore the balance of the morphological and structural appearance of adipose tissue. The product is certified as a Class III medical device.
ALIDYA was founded by Prof. Pasquale Motolese is the first injection solution specially developed for the treatment of so-called gynoid lipodistrophia (cellulite).
Which parts of the body can be treated?
Cellulite is found mainly in the area of the thighs, buttocks, less often also on the abdomen, chest and upper arms. All areas can be treated with ALIDYA.
How is treatment with ALIDYA performed?
ALIDYA is applied with very short, fine needles under the skin directly into the areas affected by cellulite. The treatment is almost painless and takes about 30 minutes per session. Immediately after the injection, small bruises (hematomas), slight swelling and redness may appear in the treatment area. Mild pain is rare, but possible. All these are expected side effects, which usually disappear completely within a few days after treatment. ALIDYA is a spa treatment that should be performed at weekly intervals between 7 and up to 12 times. To stabilize the result, one to two refresher treatments per year are recommended.
What should I consider after treatment with ALIDYA?
In the following twelve hours, you should not apply cosmetics to the treated areas and avoid direct heat sources (sun, UVA and UVA radiation, sauna, etc.). Light sports activities as well as a healthy, balanced diet, moderate caffeine consumption and healthy work-life balance support the positive effects of ALIDYA.
When can ALIDYA not be used?
ALIDYA is not suitable for patients with acute or chronic skin diseases in the areas to be treated. For safety reasons, patients with a history of anaphylactic reactions, severe allergies, serious diseases of organs or apparatus, autoimmune diseases, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are excluded from treatment with ALIDYA.
The innovative method of application for cellulite
The unsightly dents on the thighs, hips, abdomen and buttocks – sometimes even on the upper arms – are by no means isolated cases, but an equally unsightly and annoying mass phenomenon: Orange peel occurs in about 90 percent of all women from the age of 20 and men are also affected.
Cellulite usually arises as a result of a combination of several factors. Unhealthy diet, too little exercise and hormonal changes are the triggers for the wavy skin. Poor blood circulation in certain regions is primarily responsible for the body storing fat in the dermis, blood circulation decreases and waste materials – which often also cause inflammatory reactions – can no longer be transported away. Especially in women, both the fat layer and the collagen ligaments lie more densely under the skin and are thus visible as the so-called “orange peel” typical appearance.
Despite the high prevalence, hardly any scientific data or studies on the pathophysiology of cellulite are available. It is now certain that smoking, stress, pregnancy, an unhealthy lifestyle and the permanent intake of hormonal contraceptives have a reinforcing effect on the usually already existing phenomenon. The original assumption that excess weight can initially cause cellulite has now been refuted. Even slender women suffer from the irregular relief of the skin on the buttocks, thighs, abdomen, rarely also on the chest and upper arms. However, it is true that there is a positive correlation between the severity of cellulite and the body mass index (BMI). In other words, the higher the fat content in the tissue, the stronger the cellulite is.
With ALIDYA it is now possible to treat cellulite by injection.
